Requirements

Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN)
Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program (exceptions may be considered for candidates with more than two years of acute care experience, subject to Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) review and approval)
Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies

Responsibilities

Managing Unstable Critical Patients
Providing care for patients undergoing Open Heart Surgery
Providing care for patients undergoing General Surgery
Managing STEMI patients
Providing comprehensive post-arrest care for Cardiac Arrest Respiratory Failure/Prone patients
Providing care for patients undergoing Oncological Surgery
