Thank you for your interest in Henry Ford Medical Group Nursing! GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator. POSITION SUMMARY: Position: 36 hours per week (3 days a week, 12-hour shifts) Shift: Rotating, will rotate days Monday - Friday, no weekends, there is off-shift on- call Henry Ford Observed holidays are assigned as call shifts On the job training will be provided during orientation for the scrubbing /monitoring portion of the job duties (with or without prior experience). Location: Detroit Benefits: Full Time Benefit Package $5,000 Sign on Bonus for eligible hires Ability to self-schedule Monday thru Friday There are no "scheduled weekends or holidays" but, there is scheduled on call which would be scheduled Mon-Fri nights (individually) from 1900-0630, weekend call covers 1900 Friday night until 0630 Monday morning. The amount of call that RNs are assigned is entirely dependent on the number of staff that are on departments roster at any given moment. Holidays are assigned as call shifts, and the RN would be assigned to these shifts based on staffing needs.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred.
