Are you a new graduate RN or an experienced nurse with a strong interest in cardiac care? Our Cardiac Bridge Program offers a supportive pathway to help you grow into a skilled and confident cardiac RN—whether your long-term goals include the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) or a Progressive Care Unit focused on cardiac, vascular, and thoracic patients. You’ll begin on the night shift in our Cardiac Telemetry Unit, which will remain your home unit throughout the program. Here, you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience caring for patients with a variety of cardiac conditions while sharpening your assessment and critical thinking skills. This foundational experience helps you understand the rhythm, pace, and complexity of specialized cardiac nursing. After a minimum of one year, and with the support of leadership and clinical educators, you’ll develop a personalized plan to bridge into a higher-acuity cardiac care setting based on your readiness and the needs of the organization. Once fully trained in both areas, you will carry a dual role—broadening your expertise and supporting the evolving needs of our patients, units, and hospital system.
