As an Ambulatory Pediatric Nurse in specialty care, one provides outpatient nursing for children with conditions such as pulmonology, gastroenterology, neurology, developmental/behavioral (ADHD & ASD diagnosis), audiology & surgery. Our nursing team works in collaboration with physician or advanced practice provider (APP) supervision to coordinate and manage patient care largely via telehealth but also in clinic. Although we are willing to train the right candidate, the position is best suited for an individual with pediatric and/or ambulatory experience. Our ambulatory care nurses are managing telephone triage, test results, medication refills/administration, procedures, patient/family education, referrals, rooming & navigating families through a complex healthcare environment. Delivers care to patients and families with needs ranging from basic to complex utilizing the nursing process. Creates a therapeutic and caring environment for patient and families. Practices in a manner consistent with the Elliot Hospital Interprofessional Practice model; the ANA’s Social Policy Statement, Scope and Standards of Practice, and the Nursing Code of Ethics; and relevant specialty standards of practice.
