Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Infusion Center
About The Position
The Infusion Nurse in the Adult Infusion Center provides infusion, injection, and transfusion therapies to adult patients in an ambulatory setting. Key aspects of this direct-care role include insertion of peripheral intravenous catheters; establishing access via utilizing implanted devices; administration of non-hazardous therapies; supporting the infusion patient during their appointments; and patient assessment and education. This team supports two ambulatory settings: a hospital-based location on the main campus of the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington Vt and 118 Tilley Drive, our community-based site in South Burlington, VT.
Requirements
- Greater than one year of registered nursing experience required
Nice To Haves
- Experience in infusion therapy
- Experience in ambulatory care
- Experience in medical/surgical nursing
- Experience in vascular access
- Prior experience with peripheral IV insertion and care
- Experience with central line access/de-access and PICC line care
- CRNI certification prepared
