Welcome to 5E, our Med/Surg unit with 30 beds dedicated to respiratory, infectious diseases, and general Med/Surg care. We are proud to have 3 Daisy Award winners among our team, showcasing our commitment to excellence. On 5E, you can earn a certification in Med Surg/Progressive Care, adding to your professional growth. Nursing skills gained on this unit: Obtain Med Surg/Progressive Care certifications Develop strong bedside and procedural skills Understand and develop further expertise for a variety of treatments due to nature of acuity adaptable Time management & flexibility while managing patients ranging in acuity levels
Requirements
- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
