Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field, OR clinical experience and MLT education equivalent to MT certification
- Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree
- American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) MT
- Clinical Training
- 1-2 years' experience clinical in a related field
- Ability to Prioritize/Organize/Handle Quantity of Work
- Accuracy/Quality/Completeness of Work
- Complex Assignments Received/Delegated/Completed
- Judgement Skills/Problem Solving Skills
- Overall Procedure Knowledge/Quality Assurance Knowledge - including documentation as needed
Responsibilities
- Performing a full range of laboratory tests
- Confirming the accuracy of test results
- Reporting laboratory findings to the doctors, pathologists, or other physicians
- Operates and maintains a variety of laboratory instruments
- Utilizes laboratory computer system in performance of duties
- Maintains strict adherence to established policies and procedures
