Big Spring State Hospital Registered Dietician Need - 1 Duties of the Dietician: Provide nutrition services for Big Spring State Hospital patients. Complete nutritional assessments, provide consultations, education, and other nutritional services as assigned. Analyze patients’ health status, goals, dietary restrictions and track dietary intake and progress. Consult with patients, families, and treatment team regarding nutrition needs. Complete electronic medical record documentation. Provide nutrition information to Food Service Director/Managers. Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, Joint Commission guidelines, CMS Standards, BSH Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives Job Requirements for all candidates: Graduation from an accredited college or university with BS in Dietetics and or Nutrition Must be Registered Dietician (RD) with the National Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics Must be a Licensed Dietician (LD) with the State Of Texas Must possess excellent verbal and written skills necessary to communicate with Physicians, staff, patients, and patients’ family Must comply with HHSC immunization requirements Must submit to HHSC required drug test Must submit to HHSC required fingerprinting Must complete facility and HHSC required training Requested Schedule: Dietician will typically work 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Mon-Fri), but shift pattern is subject to change as determined by the Clinical Nutrition Director to meet needs of the hospital. Option to telework available. No holiday, after-hour, or weekend shifts
