About The Position

Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine as a Registered Dietitian I Registry- Inpatient Adult Job Summary: Assess nutrition status, establish nutrition diagnosis(es), develop intervention strategies and monitor/evaluate nutrition care plans in inpatient settings. Perform duties in support of, and in compliance with, performance improvement plans, and with requirements of regulatory, accrediting, and licensing agencies. Educate patients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members about the effectiveness of therapeutic diets and nutrition support regiments to improve/maintain nutritional status and establish optimal outcomes. This position will be supporting all adult inpatient areas. Qualifications: MS degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or other relevant major, or BS/BA in Nutrition, Dietetics or other relevant major with completion of didactic program in dietetics if necessary AND Board specialty certification (e. g. Certified Specialist in Pediatrics, Certified Nutrition Support Clinician, Certified Specialist in Oncology, Certified Specialist in Renal) relevant to position (or obtain within 6 months of hire) Successful completion of completed program, dietetic internship, or other experience approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Dietetic Education 3 or more years of clinical experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with patients and staff from diverse cultural, educational, and ethnic backgrounds Computer literacy (minimum Outlook, Word, Excel, Epic) Registry schedule is dependent on inpatient needs. At minimum this role is required to work two days per pay period and can work up to 40 hours per week. This position will be added to the current weekend rotation, working 8-10 weekends/year. Compensation & Benefits Overview UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union. Requirements

  • 3 or more years of clinical experience

  • Computer literacy (minimum Outlook, Word, Excel, Epic)
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Division of Professional Regulation
