The Dietitian II plays a vital role in delivering advanced medical nutrition therapy to patients with complex health conditions in a dynamic, high-volume academic healthcare environment. This position involves conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments and reassessments, developing and implementing personalized care plans, and documenting accurately within electronic health records. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, diagnosing malnutrition, performing Nutrition-Focused Physical Exams (NFPE), managing therapeutic diets, providing nutrition education, and overseeing enteral and parenteral nutrition therapies. The Dietitian II serves patients across the lifespan-from pediatrics to adults and the geriatric population-ensuring high-quality nutritional care tailored to individual needs. Working in close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, medical and ancillary staff, and food service personnel, the Dietitian II contributes to a cohesive care approach. In addition, this role actively participates in departmental initiatives, quality improvement projects, and regular team meetings to support ongoing excellence in patient care.
