About The Position

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Jackson, Michigan | Center for Family Health Help patients improve their health and well-being through nutrition education, counseling, and compassionate support. Why This Role Matters As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist at CFH, you will support patients of all ages through medical nutrition therapy, nutrition education, and lifestyle counseling. You will work closely with patients and care teams to address health concerns, reduce barriers to care, and improve overall wellness in a collaborative, team-based environment.

Requirements

  • Licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in the State of Michigan required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred
  • Strong communication and patient education skills
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and team-oriented approach
  • Strong organizational, time management, and computer skills
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with others
  • Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and high-quality patient care

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients’ health and dietary needs through in-person, phone, virtual, and referral-based visits
  • Provide medical nutrition therapy, nutrition education, and lifestyle counseling
  • Develop individualized meal plans that take patient preferences, goals, and cost into account
  • Support disease prevention, disease management, and wellness through follow-up care and treatment plan adjustments
  • Use motivational interviewing and trauma-informed approaches to engage and support patients
  • Collaborate with providers and care teams to determine the best course of treatment
  • Help connect patients with internal services and community resources that support overall health
  • Educate and mentor interns, students, and employees involved in nutrition services
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and other team-based efforts
