Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with therapeutic or medically necessary menus in healthcare or long-term care settings
• Experience with altered diets, including educating staff on IDDSI standards and testing meals for consistency
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Prior experience performing sanitation audits in healthcare kitchens
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience with documenting in EMR Systems (Point Click Care preferred) for State and Federal regulations

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all phases of nutrition care including nutrition assessment, resident nutritional interviews, care planning, monitoring, education, and counseling of resident nutritional intake
• Provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy integrated with the resident’s medical goals
• Evaluate, interpret, monitor, and document the nutritional status and nutritional needs of residents using established standards of care and practice guidelines
• Develop, review, update, and implement educational materials to meet the nutritional needs of residents
• Function as an integral member of the care plan team and attend Quality Improvement meetings
