Department: Behavior (PSR/Mental Health) Reports to: BCBA Supervises: None Exempt Status: Non-exempt Salary Range: Starting at $21 per hour plus benefits for full time employees Shift: Daytime, 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday Location: St. Augustine, FL (St. Johns County) Essential Functions: Keeps state certification current- Registered Behavior Technician (with the State of Florida) Provides direct care/ personal care and duties to individuals Verbal and non-verbal interactions with individuals reflect caring and respect Promotes and insures individual rights upheld Completes or coordinates recreation activities per IPP goals with a focus on skill acquisition and behavioral interactions. More details of RBT position below: FUNCTIONS: Facilitates a positive teaching and training atmosphere conducive to individual growth and development by providing direct behavioral support and skill acquisition. This position requires understanding of positive behavioral approaches to implement programming as directed by behavioral and habilitation implementation plans. This position is responsible for immediate and accurate documentation of programming and interventions services. Effective coordination with the behaviorist, supervisors, and co-workers are required to maintain a high quality of life for the individual. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Demonstrates willingness to try new tasks; generates new ideas for change; evaluates and recognizes priorities; selects effective team members, challenges others to learn, keeps current and integrates new information, communicates and models organization values, fosters high performance; recognizes need for and provides adequate resources. Requirements

Have and keep RBT certification current
Pass a Level 2 (state and national) background screening, local law check https://info.flclearinghouse.com
Certification in CPR and First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens and HIPAA, kept current
Certification in Safety Care training
Be free from illegal drugs
A valid Florida Driver's license and proof of insurance (if you drive for the center)
Three references of recommendation for the position
Current RBT certification
High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of experience working with a dependent population or, an associate’s degree and 2 years of experience or, a bachelor’s degree
