About The Position

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and are seeking a meaningful career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The position offers an opportunity to explore or start a career in ABA, supporting children in developing communication, problem-solving, and social skills. Burnett Therapeutic Services (BTS) is hiring both entry-level candidates and certified Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) who are looking to advance their careers. As an RBT at BTS, you will work one-on-one with children with autism or developmental delays, focusing on building communication, social, play, and daily living skills through structured, play-based activities. Sessions typically last 2–3 hours and take place in the child’s home, clinic, or school. BTS tailors caseloads to fit individual availability and comfort with age groups, ranging from toddlers to teens. Requirements

  • Active RBT/ABAT/BCAT certification is required for this position.
  • If you do not have an RBT/ABAT/OR BCAT certification, you must complete a 40-hour RBT training course prior to employment.
  • Must maintain an active RBT/ABAT/BCAT as a requirement for continued employment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
  • CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain during onboarding)
  • TB test (within 90 days), MMR & Varicella Immunization, and a Pre-employment Physical (within the past year).
  • Background check (FBI & DOJ)

Nice To Haves

  • Current student or recent graduate in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Sociology, Biology, or related field.
  • Spanish-speaking

Responsibilities

  • Delivering one-on-one behavior support through fun, individualized activities
  • Implementing behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
  • Collecting and recording data on client progress accurately
  • Communicating regularly with families to provide updates and support
  • Participating in ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision sessions
