About The Position

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct behavioral and instructional support to students under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or other qualified professional. The RBT assists in implementing individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill-acquisition programs that help students succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally within the school setting.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

Nice To Haves

Experience working in educational settings with students who have developmental, behavioral, or emotional needs.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, applied behavior analysis, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Implement individualized behavior intervention plans and instructional programs as designed by the supervising BCBA.
Collect, record, and summarize behavioral and skill data accurately and consistently.
Support students in developing communication, social, self-management, and adaptive skills across school environments (classroom, cafeteria, playground, etc.).
Use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to encourage positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and support staff to promote consistency and success in student programs.
Participate in team meetings, professional development, and supervision sessions as required.
Maintain confidentiality of student records and follow district, state, and federal guidelines.
Adhere to the ethical and professional standards outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
