About The Position

This position is from approximately January 26, 2026 through April, 2026 ●Provide a highly structured approach that relies on behavioral principles, which may include: oCreate and implement treatment and behavior plans, including social, cognitive, adaptive, and communication goals under the supervision of a BCBA oAssist students in generalizing learned skills within the general education settings oImplement play plans and facilitate social interactions at unstructured times (recess, lunch, specials, etc.) oCollect data and graph as assigned ●Support school staff, classroom teachers and paraprofessionals, including: oCollaborate and consult with special educator, general educator, paraprofessionals, coordinators, therapists and colleagues in the behavior department oGather/create/organize materials for educational programs, behavior charts, reinforcement systems, etc. oModel evidence based behavioral techniques for school staff oSupport students who may exhibit behaviors such as: aggression, property destruction, self-injury, non-compliance, disruption, inattention to task, social deficits, non-verbal communication skills and safety concerns oMaintain current crisis prevention certification (e.g., Safety-Care or CPI) and implement physical restraints and escorts as needed ●Responsible for other general duties as indicated by the Director of Pupil Personnel Services, directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee, and policies of the Middleborough School Committee ●Preferred skills and experience: oApplied Behavior Analysis (under the supervision of a BCBA) including but not limited to discrete trial training, cold probe data collection, ABC data collection oExperience supervising communication systems such as PECS and augmentative/alternative communication devices (AACs) oExperience with developmental assessments such as VBMAPP or ABLLS oExperience with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental delays, social emotional and behavioral concerns, and/or other health issues and diagnoses oAbility to build trusting relationships with students and staff oStrong communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Applied Behavior Analysis (under the supervision of a BCBA) including but not limited to discrete trial training, cold probe data collection, ABC data collection
  • Experience supervising communication systems such as PECS and augmentative/alternative communication devices (AACs)
  • Experience with developmental assessments such as VBMAPP or ABLLS
  • Experience with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental delays, social emotional and behavioral concerns, and/or other health issues and diagnoses
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities
