Under close, ongoing direct supervision of a BCaBA, BCBA or BCBA-D, the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT II) at the Emory Autism Center (EAC) is responsible for the direct day-to-day implementation of individual and or group behavior-analytic programs for children and or adults with and without autism spectrum disorder (ASD), dependent on program placement. The RBT II may assist the BCaBA, BCBA, or BCBA-D with training other staff or trainees on implementation of ABA procedures. Responsible for implementing individualized treatment plans both to increase functional skills and to reduce challenging behaviors that interfere with learning. Maintains data on program parameters and targeted behaviors for use in program and progress evaluations. Duties will include activity set-up, direct care and instruction to group and/or individuals with and without ASD, dependent on program placement, using evidence-based procedures and teaching strategies, collecting and graphing data, and writing session notes. The May assist the BCBA or BCBA-D with family training, behavioral assessments, and documentation of client progress. Ensures compliance with national, state, university practice policies and procedures. May be required to lift or move up to approximately 50 lbs. and be able to assume or maintain a variety of postures (e.g., kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, walking) for extended periods of time. Performs related responsibilities as required.
