About The Position

This role is responsible for the nursing aspect of the admission/intake of new patients. This role is desponsible for the coordination and supervision of the direct patient care and program implementation for residents/patients in the admission of cute care and residential programs. Assesses the patients/residents needs and coordinates/implements the delivery of quality nursing care, as prescribed by the Treatment Team / Physician. Provides safety and crisis management for the patient populations, and assures a safe and therapeutic environment. Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience of nursing care and interventions with psychiatric patients.
  • Knowledgeable of the psychotropic medications, potential side effects, and psychiatric diagnoses.
  • Ability to direct others in the delivery of services, organize multiple tasks at one time, and problem solve situations under a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to safely implement special treatment procedures.
  • Ability to delegate responsibility to others and assure completion of shift duties.
  • Skill in developing therapeutic relationships with clients of all ages, and work as a member of a treatment team.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • CPR certification is also required.
  • Must be licensed in the State of Colorado or hold a current compact license.
