Much more information available online at: https://bhbhospital.com/ Intake Nurse Manager Position Summary: The Intake Nurse Manager provides oversight and accountability for the Intake Department by providing clinical leadership and coordination of MOT and clinical operations. As a clinician this position provides direction and training to departmental staff in the provision of psychiatric assessments, including clinical evaluations and crisis intervention. Requirements

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing with Bachelor's Degree in nursing required.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years nursing experience and two years of supervisory or management experience
  • Licensure: Current RN license in the state of Texas
  • Certifications: Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Admissions with management of financial operations of the department; to include FTE management and cost controls.
  • Ensure that all departmental staff are adequately trained
  • Audit patient assessments, records/admits monthly ensuring appropriate documentation for criteria.
  • Provide supervision and direction to department staff ensuring alignment with organizational goals, while promoting high-quality care delivery in accordance with established Standards of Care and Practice.
  • Assist with recruitment and interviewing potential staff.
  • Continually evaluate the activities, morale, and interpersonal relationships of the program staff and promote methods to improve these areas.
  • Assist in ensuring all program staff are evaluated according to personnel policies.
