Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field or work experience equivalent
  • Significant experience in sales, operations and sales management with direct budget responsibility
  • Leadership, management and supervisory experience
  • Retail Industry, Sales, Marketing, Merchandizing, Operations, and Customer supply chain knowledge/practices
  • Coatings industry, Company product line, competitive features and coatings applications knowledge
  • Communication, selling and relationship skills
  • Business Planning, analytical, organizational, data analysis and decision making skills
  • Quality, teamwork, work process and customer service knowledge
  • Fiscal responsibility and business ethics
  • Knowledge in MS Office Suites and/or software applications related to job functions
  • Valid driver's license, satisfactory evidence of insurance and state verification of driving record
  • Frequent overnight travel required

Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate areas of new business to help Masco Coatings further expand business in new market segments.
  • Lead Plan, lead and oversee Pro sales senior sales team to maximize customer satisfaction, sales volume, market penetration and growth.
  • Responsible for and accountable for the Director of Merchandising for Pro Sales and communicating all Pro sales/marketing merchandising.
  • Lead & participate in sales presentations, negotiations, sales meetings, & trade shows with key external & internal industry stakeholders. Initiate, strengthen, & grow direct relationships with major customers in traditional market segments.
  • Prioritizing business/sales objectives to deliver maximum growth that is aligned with Masco’s strategic direction. Prepares national business plan with accompanying goals for sales, profitability, expenses, and compensation. Conducts monthly P&L and key metric reviews with senior team to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Represent & sell the value proposition of Masco Coatings pro services & full product lines.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with all customer and Company representatives, monitor service levels and resolve problems not successfully resolved at the senior management level.
  • Formulate new and progressive programs to increase market share and build customer partnerships to meet or exceed customer expectations and increase competitive loyalty.
  • Observe and communicate pricing and other changes to support sales efforts and keep the company competitive.
  • Lead negotiation of sales contracts for the company to increase sales revenues.
  • Plan and oversee budget, sales expenses and ensure ongoing required documentation for audits, accounts payable and sales-related expenses.
  • Lead and communicate the Company’s quality and customer service vision to employees and customers and support their participation in the Company’s quality improvement effort.
  • Analyze and communicate with Corporate office on competitive information, market changes, industry news, customer activities, sales operations plans and issues.
