About The Position

We are seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of South Regional Vice President within the Aviagen North America business. Based out of Elkmont, AL reporting to Derrick Tice President of Aviagen North America. The Regional Vice President will have full operational and P & L responsibility to include ownership of the supply chain from the placement of Grand Parent chicks all the way through to sales and technical service of the customers in the region. Areas of operations to include; farming base in Elkmont Alabama, Hatcheries in Quitman, GA and Blairsville, GA to include all services and support for the customer base in this region. Key responsibilities of the role include: Manage the GP production facilities effectively in terms of output, quality and efficiency Responsible for the day to day operations of hatcheries in region along with the delivery of day-old chicks to customers Responsible for the Sales and Technical support for customer base Responsible for following all quality management system guidelines Responsible for onsite personnel for customer placements to ensure quality of product and customer set ups Ensuring a strict and well-managed bio-security system Prepare and achieve challenging sales volume targets with appropriate margin t Management of the administrative and support functions for the unit An additional and core part of the role is to join the ANA senior management team and represent not only the regional business but actively work with this team on information sharing, Key Account management, product plans, commercial strategy and people development. Responsible for creation, maintenance and overall ownership of region budgets

Requirements

5 – 10 years’ experience in the poultry industry – ideally across more than one function but breeder level experience is essential with good knowledge of customer requirements.
P&L Management experience is preferred
Education and/or experience which demonstrates your ability to critically and rigorously analyse technical, financial and managerial issues
Must be able to lead and motivate teams
Must be able to manage through change
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities
