About The Position

At Rise Up for Autism, we provide high-quality, center-based ABA therapy for children ages 2-6, with a strong focus on early intervention and school readiness skills. With clinics in Joliet, Tinley Park, Aurora, and Chicago's Albany Park neighborhood, we are dedicated to helping children build the foundation they need to thrive in school and beyond. The Regional Trainer plays a key role in this mission by leading new hire and ongoing training for Behavior Technicians/Registered Behavior Technicians (BTs/RBTs), ensuring consistent, high-quality care across our clinics. This position will primarily support our Joliet and Tinley Park centers, with occasional travel to other locations for special projects. Requirements

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential in good standing, with at least 1 year of experience (preferably closer to 2-3 years), within a center-based setting.
  • Strong fluency with applied behavior analysis (ABA) terminology and concepts (e.g., reinforcement, shaping, prompting strategies, extinction, and others).
  • Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and support new BTs/RBTs effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and professional manner.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel regularly between the Joliet and Tinley Park centers, with flexibility to support other locations for special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate comprehensive new hire training to ensure all BTs/RBTs are equipped with foundational skills and clinical expectations.
  • Delivering ongoing training and professional development for BT's/RBT's, including review of individualized child programming (BIPs, skill acquisition goals) to support center-specific needs.
  • Participate in orientation sessions to review attendance requirements, clinical policies, and organizational standards.
  • Provide guidance and training on accurate and compliant SOAP note documentation.
  • Conduct quality-of-care observations for BTs/RBTs, complete fidelity checklists and offer feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Design, develop, and implement training curriculum on key clinical and professional topics relevant to BT/RBT responsibilities.
  • Work with managers and supervisors to identify skill gaps and provide targeted training to address specific needs within a region.
  • Communicate effectively across departments to share updates, announcements, and training initiatives.
  • Travel between centers (typically two, with occasional additional locations for special projects) to provide on-site training and support.
  • Contribute to employee engagement and retention by implementing creative appreciation and recognition initiatives.
  • Lead Safety-Care training and refresher training for BTs/RBTs to ensure compliance with safety protocols and best practices.
