Position overview The Regional SHE Manager – Americas is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing Safety, Health, and Environmental programs across multiple chemical manufacturing sites within North and South America. The role ensures regulatory compliance, drives continuous improvement in safety performance, and supports organizational sustainability goals.We are looking for a colleague who will provide leadership and guidance to ensure compliance to government regulations on safety, health and the environment as well as adherence to allnex’s SHE policies and standards including all security procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in EHS/SHE management within manufacturing; chemical manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing multi-site SHE programs across a region.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, chemical storage/handling requirements, hazardous waste regulations, and PSM standards.
  • Experience with managing a site PSM program & demonstrated continuous improvement in performance while in role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to conduct audits, incident investigations, and lead safety improvement projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Solid technical skillset including practical experience with chemical & mechanical plant operations & equipment.
  • Demonstrated team & project leadership abilities (e.g. PHA, PSSR, audits & root cause).
  • Proven experience delivering training & mentoring others.
  • Experience with worldwide operations, and understands challenges in doing business with multinational programs, regulations, & cultures
  • Willingness to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and implement occupational health, safety, and environmental policies aligned with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Champion SHE initiatives that integrate safety compliance into daily plant and operational processes.
  • Provide technical and administrative guidance to site leadership teams on SHE matters.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations, including OSHA requirements and chemical safety regulations.
  • Maintain and manage OSHA safety logs, required permits, and other regulatory documentation for chemical manufacturing operations.
  • Oversee appropriate management of hazardous waste, chemical storage, and handling procedures.
  • Direct and manage the Process Safety Management (PSM) program at multiple facilities.
  • Conduct site safety inspections, risk assessments, internal audits, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce workplace injuries, chemical exposure risks, and other hazards.
  • Lead and participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation.
  • Oversee emergency management programs and ensure facilities maintain effective response plans.
  • Coordinate emergency training, evacuation drills, and hazardous materials response procedures.
  • Develop and deliver training related to chemical handling, emergency response, environmental compliance, and general workplace safety.
  • Foster a proactive safety culture through coaching, communication, and engagement at all levels of the organization.
  • Track, analyze, and report key SHE metrics, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Present findings to senior leadership and recommend strategic improvements to regional SHE programs.
