Visit our website to learn more. This role will focus on: This is a new role with a primary focus across Americas EHS, both Supply and Sales. The role will be based out of Devens MA with regular travel to Wilmington MA and occasional travel across the remaining Americas region. You will drive all EHS matters across the Americas and will be a key member of the Global Leadership Team for WMFTS. The role requires strong leadership to drive change and sustained improvements, and an ability to influence across a complex organizational structure. Key objectives: Leading the EHS function through your Technical EHS knowledge, Storytelling and Servant Leadership are fundamentals. Creating an EHS deployment plan spanning 1, 3 & 5 years (OGSM) Ensuring the EHS strategy and road map balances the specific needs of the various Sectors and Functions whilst also adhering to the expectations of the SPIRAX Group. Prepare and deliver periodic reports on Health and Safety to meet the specific needs of different stakeholders such as the Divisional Director and the Exec Safety Steerco. Learn(investigate)from incidents, maintain appropriate records, and make recommendations to promote health and safety in the workplace and related activities. Aiming to bring a level of EHS cohesion and standardization to the divisions while also considering the different journeys and risk profiles. Drive a culture of Trust with a learning output and the development of worldclass EHS basics. Be prepared to challenge the Supply and Sales teams across multiple functions i.e. Quality, Finance, Supply chain, so that EHS is considered a top priority in decision making. Develop positive EHS procurement standards across Americas, so that a safe and consistent process is supporting our Supply and Sales Opco’s. You will be a key driver in our Core strategy, supporting both our WMFTS Deployment plan and driving continuous EHS improvement in key risks. You will be responsible for monthly reviews and updates on our C.A.R.E framework, best practice, process and mandatory standards. You will manage our EHS portal(s) for incident and action management across the region. Drive a ‘Just Safety Culture’ supporting fairness, openness, responsibility, learning and building relationships with local safety Champions and Managers, ensuring accuracy and standardisation. You will own the legal register process and manage legislative changes regarding EHS and the update of company processes, systems and documents as necessary. You will ensure that a robust Management of change process exists for all Americas Opco’s. Participate in appropriate internal and external professional groups to develop networks, influence policy decision makers, and share good practice Globally. Chair relevant groups and committees and engage with cross-divisional projects and developments as required. Who you’ll be working with Working Directly for the Divisional Director of Americas and with a strong dotted line into the Regional Supply Lead for Americas, your day-to-day focus will be on delivering technical safety solutions which drives compliance, builds a positive culture and eliminates the clutter with a range of EHS Processes. You will influence our prevention by design strategy; this will also facilitate a network within Supply that nest SBD services. You will be a member of the WMFTS Global Leadership Team, meeting regularly with your Global based colleagues, with a voice in the future strategy and direction of EHS. You will liaise with consultants, regulators, WMFTS Opco’s and SPIRAX EHS Leadership. This is what you’ll need to be successful in this role

Requirements

  • Qualified to level 6 with a specific H&S qualification i.e. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
  • Self-managing and highly motivated, with strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in multiple teams
  • Be organized, methodical, resilient and approachable with strong communication & influencing skills
  • Be delivery focused with strong attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to engage others effectively and drive change across all levels, finding pragmatic solutions.
  • Direct experience of leading, developing and implementing best-practice EHS and Sustainability practice in projects and sales/assembly environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO45001
  • Have proven experience of working with EHS systems and competent with Microsoft IT packages
