Location: West Coast - California, Oregon & Washington Job Scope The Regional Sales Specialist (SS) drives growth within an assigned multi-state territory by increasing market adoption of Acumed products among key accounts and surgeons. The SS converts surgeons through advanced technical and surgical expertise, facilitates access to key accounts, and builds strong, lasting relationships across the territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, medical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience; CMF experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and surgical staff.
  • Solid understanding of regional markets and business practices.
  • Strategic thinker with strong teamwork, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven experience building relationships with surgeons and hospitals.
  • Knowledge of sales, marketing strategies, product demonstrations, and selling techniques.
  • Comfortable working in operating room and emergency environments.
  • Ability to obtain required hospital credentialing.
  • Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business plans to identify and close new opportunities with Independent Sales Contractors (ISCs) and direct sales teams.
  • Identify customer needs and deliver effective solutions through written, phone, and in-person communication.
  • Conduct field sales calls, including on-call support and operating room consultation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key institutions and surgeons.
  • Collaborate with regional sales teams on product features and selling strategies for assigned business units or product lines.
  • Provide post-sale support, including delivery coordination, in-service training, and product replenishment.
  • Communicate product updates, portfolio changes, and medical education opportunities to customers.
  • Cross-sell existing products and introduce new products as they become available.
  • Drive customer satisfaction by resolving issues and concerns promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with AdvaMed Code of Conduct, company policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Coach, train, and mentor ISCs, agents, and sales representatives as needed.
  • Maintain current training in sales skills, product knowledge, industry trends, customers, and competitors.
  • Participate in tradeshows, sales meetings, and professional events, including outside normal business hours.
