About The Position

As the Regional Sales Representative based in Indianapolis, you'll serve as the "boots on the ground" for the Midwest and Northeast territories. You'll drive net-new business by prospecting EPCs, contractors, and developers; conducting onsite demos and trials using a company-provided truck + trailer; building strong relationships; and supporting strategic deals in a fast-moving startup environment.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of outside/territory sales experience in heavy equipment, equipment rental, or construction/industrial equipment sales.
  • Located in or willing to relocate to the Indianapolis, IN area.
  • Able to travel ~50% (mostly regional driving, occasional flights).
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Proven B2B sales track record of meeting or exceeding quota.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong hunter mindset: Enjoys cold outreach, prospecting, and building a territory from scratch; action-oriented and experimental rather than reliant on inbound leads.
  • Thrives in a lean, fast-changing startup with minimal hand-holding.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable and credible in construction/field environments, able to speak ROI-driven language with superintendents, project managers, and field crews.
  • Confident driving a truck with a trailer to job sites.
  • Proficient with CRM tools, laptops, and basic productivity software.

Responsibilities

  • Own and develop a defined territory anchored in Indianapolis, covering high-density states in the Midwest/Northeast as needed.
  • Drive net-new sales:
  • Identify and qualify EPCs, contractors, and developers who can benefit from robotics on construction projects.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline through proactive outreach, meetings, and follow-ups.
  • Execute onsite demos and trials:
  • Coordinate with deployment teams for successful execution.
  • Serve as the primary field representative during evaluations and trials.
  • Develop the territory:
  • Plan and run multi-day trips for demos and customer account meetings.
  • Maintain consistent in-person touchpoints with priority accounts.
  • Support enterprise and strategic opportunities:
  • Assist senior/key account managers with demos and site visits when travel is limited.
  • Provide structured field feedback on customer needs, objections, product performance, and market insights.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, territory plans, and contribute to pricing, messaging, and go-to-market experiments.
