The Regional Sales & Operations Manager position is responsible for managing, prospecting, acquiring, and maintaining commercial fuels business, HVAC business, and strategic program business throughout the company’s eastern Pennsylvania market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business, Marketing, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of three (3) years sales experience within the energy industry – commercial and industrial commodity sales.
  • Excellent communication skills demonstrating the ability to listen to others, express ideas both orally and in writing and provide relevant and timely information to clients, managers, etc.
  • Ability to work independently, within tightly controlled business policies and processes, reporting requirements, and behavioral principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment: while obtaining assigned growth and margin targets.

Nice To Haves

  • In depth knowledge of the petroleum industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on strategic program sales and new product sales that enhance profitability and diversify our product offerings.
  • Utilize the Sales & Marketing department to develop innovative solutions to acquire new business opportunities in collaboration with the various departments (e.g., Supply and Logistics departments, etc.).
  • Lead the company’s focused growth of the end-user, home heating oil, commercial, industrial and retail delivered business leveraging the company’s expertise in supply, inventory management, and logistics management.
  • Develop existing territory volume and profitability through offering customer-focused creative programs to enhance their purchasing requirements. (e.g., risk management, inventory management, diversified products, fuel operability programs, etc.).
  • Work with Guttman Renewables to help deploy new programs such as Carbon Offsets, E15, B20, Net Ethanol and others.
  • Present company attributes/programs to prospects/existing customers through an effective sales process (e.g., face-to-face meetings, presentations, etc.) that leads to positive results on a weekly basis.
  • Grow volume and increase profitability within existing territory by capitalizing on market, logistic and supply opportunities.
  • Break into new territories by capitalizing on market knowledge and relationships.
  • Enhance the profitability of the HVAC business via growth, new program offerings, and outstanding service.
  • Manage and direct the activities of the customer service and HVAC teams.
  • Work closely with Source One’s logistics and transportation team to ensure low cost freight options for customers.
  • Execute the supply and pricing direction from the Commercial team to enhance profitability.
  • Allocate about 50% of the day to developing current business and 50% to developing new business.
  • Effectively manage the details of the business by reviewing a range of reports daily to monitor volume, margin by transaction, and credit.
  • Take quick corrective action when issues are identified.
