About The Position

Magnatex Pumps, an ISO 9001:2008 certified supplier, specializes in Magnetic Drive Pumps, ANSI Mechanical Seal Pumps, Gear Pumps, AOD Pumps, Fans and Blowers, available in various materials like Stainless Steel, Alloy, Fluoropolymer, and FRP. These products are designed to meet demanding applications in process industries, handling a wide range of fluids from recovery solvents to heat transfer fluids, viscous liquids, acids, bases, toxic or noxious liquids, and high purity fluids. Magnatex operates as a vital subsidiary within Flow Control Group (FCG), a prominent holdings company focused on technically oriented products and services for flow control, fluid handling and process, industrial automation, and life sciences across North America. FCG serves as a critical intermediary between over 3,000 suppliers and 15,000 customers, encompassing over 90 brand companies and close to 1,700 employees. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for achieving the company's sales goals by employing professional sales techniques and providing excellent customer service. This includes maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts, actively pursuing new business through cold calling, and providing comprehensive sales and marketing coverage for the Midwest territory.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of pump equipment, flow instrumentation, and industrial products.

  • Strong computer skills, the ability to work with Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets.

  • Ability to drive for long periods of time and distance.
  • Ability to travel regularly to customer locations to perform sales responsibilities and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Develops maximum sales potential out of assigned territory through competitive sales techniques and knowledge of the company's products and services, as well as the competition’s strengths/weaknesses.
  • Builds and maintains quality relations with existing assigned accounts and grows account base and volume of sales on a consistent basis.
  • Contacts customers via telephone, correspondence, or in person by traveling as frequently as necessary to meet and surpass profitable sales goals for the company.
  • Creates customized proposals to meet specific customer requirements in an efficient manner.
  • Manages profit margins within company guidelines.
  • Receives and resolves customer requests in a timely manner.
  • Utilizes company leads to expand the current customer base and follows up on all leads promptly.
  • Maintains updated, organized files on all accounts in the assigned territory.
  • Completes and submits sales reports daily on account activity, provides monthly documentation with outstanding proposals, proposals secured, and proposals lost.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • In-person sales coverage of an assigned territory requiring the use of a personal/company vehicle.
