About The Position

We are recruiting for a leading global audiovisual manufacturer that designs, develops, and sells networking and video over IP hardware and are top of the market. Known for innovation and excellence, the company empowers its team members to make a meaningful impact while fostering professional growth in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The RSM – Professional Residential will be responsible for driving sales solutions within the Custom Residential Installer market. This person must have a solid understanding of IP and wireless networking, end-point management and routing/switching as it applies to AV, access control, security cameras and home automation. As such, they should also be familiar with resi AV control systems such as Control 4, Josh.ai. Alexa, Savant and Crestron (sometimes Crestron Home, but usually the commercial version for very large projects). This role closely aligns with the company’s strategic objectives in the residential space and will help transform the approach to enable market growth. The position is remote-based and requires travel.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in sales and/or business development within the professional residential market or a related industry
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and partner ecosystems
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills
  • Proven ability to drive alignment between sales activities and company objectives
  • Recognized as a Next Generation Seller

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in selling network or AV-over-IP technologies is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Align with Product Management to assure Product / Market fit
  • Assess key product developments, pricing, and profitability
  • Ensure alignment with the Channel Chief for inclusion in the Partner Program
  • Create content and enablement materials
  • Establish a network of partners for Routes to Market
  • Build relationships with distributors, complementary manufacturers (control platforms, AV distribution, etc.), builders, and specific service providers
  • Ensure sufficient value exchange with partners
  • Develop a one-to-many engagement approach to Custom Installers
  • Direct marketing to drive product preference
  • Conduct training sessions and roadshows
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows
  • Establish industry partnerships to further growth
  • Collaborate with AV manufacturers and buying groups
  • Lead next-generation partner management initiatives
  • Establish and lead a Partner Advisory Council to foster partner advocacy
  • Serve as a company spokesperson for the Professional Residential market
