About The Position

The Clinical Diagnostic Division of Brooks Laboratory Automation Solutions specializes in the manufacture of small, cost-effective, flexible and scalable benchtop automation for optimizing pre- and post-analytical workflows in pathology laboratories, and has installations worldwide. This is a unique opportunity to assist in establishing presence, driving sales growth, and capturing market share in new regions and territories. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences / Medical Sciences or related field.
  • 3+ years of sales experience in pathology laboratory diagnostic equipment or automation is desired but not essential. Laboratory staff will be considered based on experience.
  • Established network in Medical Laboratories in the territory.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (written and oral) using business and user-friendly language with a commercial mindset.
  • Ability to think outside the box to troubleshoot complex customer challenges.
  • A natural affinity for customer service.
  • A good understanding of the pathology landscape including vendor and key account partnerships.
  • Experience and success working with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven and well organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks with a clear sense of ownership and priority.
  • West Coast preferred but not essential as long as travel goals are met.
  • Ability to travel at least 30%.

Responsibilities

  • Use your consultative selling skills to hunt new business opportunities and drive the expansion of Brooks Laboratory Automation Solutions install base in North America.
  • Understand the laboratory and the needs of the customer and identify pain points.
  • Perform laboratory workflow analyses, site visits and recommendations for appropriate products and configurations to meet specific laboratory requirements.
  • Execute sales strategies and territory management to achieve revenue growth targets.
  • Leverage your existing network to map potential customers and generate leads, identify opportunities and grow the sales funnel.
  • Play a foundational role in launching a unique portfolio in key markets and be influential in driving growth and innovation.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, including negotiating contracts and resolving customer issues.
  • Development of market requirements and sales plans; establish both market and target customer strategies.
  • Partner with our customer solutions group to provide excellence of service and maximize new account penetration.
  • Become a “Trusted Advisor” for the Clinical Diagnostics Automation business with your market knowledge, subject matter expertise and excellent communication skills.
