Orbia’s Polymer Solutions business, Alphagary, is a global leader in the design and manufacture of specialty polymer compounds and additives for polyvinyl chloride compounds including stabilizers, plasticizers and colorants. Alphagary manufactures specialty compounds, formulated from a variety of polymers, that are purpose-designed for a wide range of applications. How will you make an impact? The Regional Sales Manager’s mission is to identify, target, acquire and service key customers (100K club) for Sylvin Technologies / Alphagary. It is also to manage and grow business with existing customers in an assigned territory or on a national basis. Have extensive knowledge of our products and industries we serve. This position could be based in the IL/PA areas.

Requirements

  • Four year college degree, preferable with a technical/engineering or business/marketing emphasis
  • Five+ years' experience in outside sales account management in the plastics, chemicals or industrial markets (appropriate industry experience may be substituted for academic degree)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated Microsoft Office and internet research skills.
  • Self-driven and motivated, customer focused, work well independently.
  • Technically capable and excellent questioning technique.
  • Successful key account management experience.
  • Clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Excel at account relationship building, specifically fostering relationships with key people at various levels in their organizations, including purchasing, engineering, production, accounts payable and executive management.
  • Set territory goals and write annual sales territory plans.
  • Manage assigned distributor and/or independent manufacturer’s representative sales in assigned territories.
  • Focused and exhibit excellent personal and professional motivation and always conduct yourself with a courteous, helpful and positive attitude.
