Summary: Perform under the supervision of a VP of Sales & Marketing by canvassing, selling, and maintaining a designated territory - the West Coast region.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with mobile hydraulic construction equipment.
  • Proven excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer aptitude and demonstrated computer proficiency in word processing and presentation software applications.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
  • Available for frequent travel
  • BS/BA degree
  • Continuing education in training.
  • On-the-job training

Responsibilities

  • Present Putzmeister product line to potential customers in construction-related fields.
  • Travel the designated territory while making sales calls to Putzmeister's current customers, competitor users, and potential new customers.
  • Prepare and negotiate sales quotations of full product offerings, including used equipment.
  • Consult with potential buyers on the best available products and options for the buyer’s needs.
  • Present PM and Sany value propositions
  • File proper and on-time sales paperwork in accordance with daily and long-term duties. These include, but are not limited to, weekly activity reports, sales quotations, signed sales agreements, general competition issues, expense reports, market data, and other relevant documents.
  • Stay in close contact and work in conjunction with the distributors/dealers in the territory and provide sales support as needed.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibits (regional and national when applicable), and seminars, including the World of Concrete annually when selected to attend.
  • This position is 80% travel in designated territories/regions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
