About The Position

The primary function of a Regional Sales Manager is to serve as the guiding hand for the sales team. The regional sales manager outlines training programs, develops strategies for the sales team at multiple locations to operate efficiently, and pushes team members to surpass short- and long-term sales targets. The Regional Sales Manager also works closely with the marketing department to identify new customer segments, product knowledge, and a cohesive brand image. The company is a national building materials distributor, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Home Depot, consisting of a family of industry-leading, independent roofing distributors. SRS has grown rapidly through acquisitions and the opening of multiple new locations since February 2008, establishing itself as one of the fastest growing building products distribution companies in the U.S. The goal is to form the strongest national network of independent roofing and building product distributors with the most talented team of people working together to deliver the industry's best products and services. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Ensure execution of the developed sales strategies, plans and advertising or promotional programs.
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Maintain contact with key markets by visiting and investigating the operations and local conditions.
  • Manage the sales generation in districts and major accounts within a large geographical area for one or more of the company's product line.
  • Develop, forecast and monitor budget and utilize operational resources.
  • Maintain sales staff by recruiting, selecting, and training employees.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
