About The Position

Vogelsang USA, LTD is a leading manufacturer of high-performance rotary lobe pumps, in-line grinders, and mixing solutions engineered for demanding applications in the industrial and commercial wastewater sectors. Our equipment plays a critical role in optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring reliable wastewater handling for a wide range of industries. As we continue to expand across the U.S., we are seeking an experienced and technically driven Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales growth in the Texas. We are looking for a technical sales professional with strong experience in industrial or commercial wastewater applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of pumping and process systems, though direct pump sales experience is not required. This role requires a hands-on, consultative sales approach, working closely with end users, distributors, OEMs, and engineering teams to develop tailored solutions. The right individual will have 5+ years of outside sales experience, a proven record of business development success, and the ability to manage complex, technical sales processes. This position involves heavy travel throughout the South Central/Midwest areas to visit customers, conduct site assessments, and represent Vogelsang at industry events

Requirements

  • Must currently reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana or Arkansas within convenient access to a major airport.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Proven success in a quota-carrying B2B sales role
  • Experience closing deals and managing a sales pipeline
  • Comfort owning outcomes and being measured on results
  • Strong understanding of pumping systems, fluid dynamics, and process troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles from specification to close.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a regional capacity.
  • Comfortable with CRM tools, project tracking, and sales reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand Vogelsang’s market presence in the industrial and commercial wastewater sectors within Texas.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with industrial facilities, commercial wastewater processors, OEMs, distributors, and engineering firms.
  • Conduct technical consultations and site assessments to understand customer needs and recommend effective Vogelsang solutions.
  • Lead product demonstrations, system evaluations, and ROI-based presentations to showcase performance and value.
  • Collaborate with Vogelsang’s engineering and product management teams to develop customized solutions that address customer requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and channel partners, providing ongoing technical and sales support.
  • Deliver technical presentations and training for customers, distributors, and contractor personnel.
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive territory management, relationship-building, and lead generation.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and adjust strategies.
  • Travel extensively (60–70%) within the assigned territory to support customers and grow the business.

  • Drive deals from qualification to purchase order
  • Actively manage distributors and hold them accountable for performance
  • Advance opportunities through consistent follow-up, clear next steps, and customer engagement
  • Maintain accurate pipeline visibility and forecasting in Salesforce
  • Lead customer, engineer, and distributor conversations focused on moving business forward
  • Partner with Application Engineering to deliver technically sound, commercially viable solutions
