Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, with a proven track record of achieving results.
  • Experience managing Manufacturer’s Representatives Network is required.
  • Strong technical knowledge and demonstrated familiarity with municipal wastewater treatment processes, including mechanical aeration systems, SBR systems, and oxidation ditch systems.
  • Knowledge of municipal wastewater regulations and treatment processes required.
  • Communication and writing proficiency.
  • Demonstrated experience using CRM systems for pipeline management, forecasting, and customer engagement required.
  • Microsoft Office applications proficiency.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Complex thinking and analysis required.

Nice To Haves

  • International travel experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Bi or Multilingual a plus but not required.
  • Management experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Manufacturer’s Representative network in achieving annual order quotas by setting clear expectations, providing necessary resources and training, monitoring progress, and motivating the network to effectively sell company products.
  • Identifies and recruits new Representatives to expand the regional network.
  • Achieves revenue quotas through the creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls, and establishment of ongoing rapport with municipal utility directors, plant managers, consulting engineers, and contractors.
  • Negotiates sales and executes purchase orders in line with Company policies.
  • Answers questions and offer suggestions to prospects based on a thorough knowledge of the product line.
  • Offers additional products/services to customers related to the sale and overcome objections of prospective customers.
  • Assists customers with any relevant paperwork to complete the sale, including negotiation to a fully executed final purchase order.
  • Maintains accurate and up to date information on all opportunities and customer contact details in Company's CRM system.
  • Sets up and deliver sales presentations, product/service demonstrations, and other sales actions.
  • Support other Company personnel as required in closing out customer issues such as field troubleshooting and payment.
  • Creates development plans to promote profitable and reliable growth of sales in target regions and segments.
  • Identifies market trends, competitor activity, and growth opportunities.
  • Forecasts, reports and analysis of regional and segment sales and margin results.
  • Manages and reports on budgets for assigned territory.
  • Evaluates and presents recommendations of products and services aligning with targeted regions.
  • Acts as the liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure customer requirements and needs are met.
  • Performs site visits during the equipment installations and supports startup events as needed.
  • Must be able to travel 30–50 percent of the time within assigned territory.
  • Maintains thorough, up to date knowledge of the company’s products and services, to include competitor's products for comparison.
  • Develops reports and presentations to deliver development plans, activities, and results.
  • Appropriately communicates brand identity and corporate position.
  • Participates in cross-functional teams to develop solutions to promote brand and value propositions.
  • Assists in development and production of marketing collateral to deliver to clients and channel partners.
  • Attends periodic sales training as needed.
  • Reports all safety concerns, near misses and incidents.
  • Performs duties in a safe manner and promoting safety to others in accordance with the Company's safety policies and procedures.
