About The Position

The primary function of the Regional Sales Manager is to strategically lead and manage agent representative firms to achieve revenue growth, strengthen key business relationships, and ensure operational alignment across assigned territories by driving sales performance, developing new business opportunities, and providing ongoing training and support. Key activities will include developing, leading, and managing a strategically based Territory Sales team consisting of Agent/Manufacturer Representative. Through a focused and targeted account assignment strategy, the named Regional Sales Manager - Datacom, will thrive independently while also leading the Team. As the named Regional Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the Agent Rep Firms and the Customers will consist of Datacom Distributors (Accu-Tech, ADI, Wesco/Anixter, Graybar, Rexel as well as smaller regional distributors), installers, end users and consultants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in sales and/or marketing, including account prospecting, strategic selling, application development, and product solutions
  • Possess a valid and unrestricted driver's license
  • Candidates must currently reside within a 50 mile radius of Baltimore, MD; Harrisburg, PA; Philadelphia, PA; New York City, NY; Albany, NY; Boston, MA; or Hartford, CT to be considered.
  • Channel sales experience in a major account environment selling into/through Distributors, Installers, and end users.
  • Working knowledge of Sales Force CRM, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, establish and maintain relationships at varied levels
  • Demonstrated agility to adapt to changing environments
  • Effective conflict resolution skills
  • Able to work cross functionally to drive business outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to identify new business opportunities and drive business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Territory Sales Leadership & Management Lead, manage, and develop agent representative firms to achieve revenue goals and execute annual plans for targeted customers within assigned territories.
  • Set regional sales strategy by monitoring KPIs and driving sustained outperformance of quarterly targets.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive quarterly business reviews (internal and external) to implement necessary course corrections.
  • Work collaborative to ensure optimal account representation / coverage to achieve business goals
  • Prepare and present sales reports to senior management.
  • Analyze data to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
