This includes ensuring that work is performed in accordance with standard operating procedures, conducting training, conducting investigations and audits, preparing reports, managing workplace injuries and injured employees, interacting with medical practitioners. This position is also responsible for advising supervisors on Safety related standards and issues, to assist in ensuring that work is performed safely and in compliance with company, client, and legal requirements with respect to safety issues. The Regional Safety Manager may be asked to provide support to other Health & Safety functions such emergency management, occupational health and industrial hygiene efforts, and safety systems data initiatives.
