About The Position

The Regional Safety Manager (RSM) at SRS Heritage Group serves a critical role in advancing safety and compliance across the Heritage Pool and Landscape division, by developing and implementing safety policies that align with State, Local, Federal, OSHA, and DOT regulations. This position demands a strategic partnership with District and Branch Managers to promote safety awareness and ensure compliance with safety protocols, thereby fostering an environment of safety excellence within the organization. The RSM is responsible for performing incident investigations, conducting operator safety training, and ensuring comprehensive safety compliance, ultimately safeguarding the well-being of all employees and enhancing the operational effectiveness of Heritage Pool's safety programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of State, Local, Federal, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
  • Proficiency in OSHA logs and incident report management, particularly through the Origami platform.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting incident and accident investigations, with a strong competency in Root Cause Analysis.
  • Strong ability to facilitate and conduct operator safety training, ensuring all training is current and compliant.
  • Thorough understanding of DOT compliance issues, including CFR 49 Regulations, DOT Hours of Service, Driver Qualification Files, and Hazardous Materials Regulation, OSHA 1910.
  • Ability to foster and cultivate a robust safety culture within a large organization.
  • Excellent strategic planning skills, capable of driving growth and operational improvements in safety.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and diverse organizational environment.
  • Must have a reliable mode of transportation and be willing to travel as required, up to 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution and continuous improvement of all safety policies and procedures across the assigned region, ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with State, Local, Federal, OSHA, and DOT regulations across all branches, proactively identifying areas for enhancement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Oversee the currency and effectiveness of operator safety training programs for existing employees, facilitating professional development and ensuring industry-best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date OSHA logs and incident reports using the Origami platform, supporting transparency and informed decision-making throughout the organization.
  • Conduct detailed incident and accident investigations to identify root causes, develop mitigation strategies, and drive the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with branch management to design and sustain a secure working environment that prioritizes the health and safety of all employees, integrating safety into daily operations.
  • Assess and resolve DOT compliance issues in coordination with branch management, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards within the transportation function.
  • Facilitate comprehensive training and compliance initiatives for hazardous materials transportation and storage, advancing employee competencies and organizational safety protocols.
  • Champion a proactive safety culture within the Heritage Pool Division, engaging staff at all levels to prioritize safety awareness and establish a shared commitment to a risk-free workplace.
