Performs jobsite observations, leads local safety meetings, engages with local workgroups to identify, mitigate and share safety hazards in the office and field, develops and delivers local safety improvement plan initiatives, and provides non-centralized safety training to the local workgroups. Makes recommendations to correct deficiencies, eliminate hazards and improve overall programs, including hazard risk assessments. Reviews safety training programs developed by the Program Manager, Safety Training to ensure compliance with federal, state and department of transportation regulations and recommends modifications based upon adult learning styles. Develops, implements and monitors the quality of safety programs defined by senior management. Evaluates incident trends, regulatory changes, industry standards, and provides improvement recommendations to local operations managers, including the development and implementation strategies. Provides full support of severe storm and plant outages when required. Coordinates regulatory safety training.
