As a Quality Assurance Manager - Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) where you will play a pivotal role in the achievement of Genesis business goals. In your assigned territory, you will be responsible for ensuring quality results from the various functions that capture, manage and collect patient service revenues from patient pre-admission to patient discharge.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Five (5) years or more experience in nursing home bookkeeping
  • Thorough understanding of best practice RCM business processes, systems, reports/metrics

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with nursing center Business Office Managers in assigned territory to ensure compliance with established best practice business process standards and quality results.
  • Assist in the recruitment, selection, orientation and training of new Business Office Managers in assigned nursing centers. Serve as Business Office Manager in center when needed.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to nursing center Business Office Managers in the areas of revenue cycle management of census processing, resident trust fund accounts, billing, accounts receivable and collections, and the systems related to these responsibilities.
  • Examine processing of census information, accounts receivable, and adjustments; and assure consistent compliance with company policies and procedures as well as company practices including federal and state regulations.
  • Audit the Business Office Managers' management of patient trust funds and accounts receivable collection, assisting when needed.
  • Review cash collections and large and/or old dollar accounts reports monthly with nursing center staff.
  • Review monthly with the Director Quality Assurance -- Revenue Cycle Management the progress in assigned territory in all receivable areas such as reduction of bad debt expenses, average collection, unfavorable target variances, and old/large outstanding claims.
