About The Position

The Regional Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the warehouse functions in multiple locations (shipping, receiving, delivery, inventory management and order filling) in an efficient and safe manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with eight (8) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferably strong CAT experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to professionally, responsibly, and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Strong customer service skills, including ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations, respond promptly to customer needs, solicit customer feedback to improve service ; respond to requests for service and assistance, and meet commitments.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Advanced computer literacy is required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including providing leadership, motivation, and training of warehouse team members, direct delegation and supervision of assignments as well as ensuring a uniform and efficient workflow.
  • Administer and evaluate profitable short and long term objectives of the warehouse operations.
  • Manage inventory to provide more efficient warehouse flow and ensure accurate receiving and order filling processes across multiple locations.

  • Manage Parts Managers and their activity, including recruiting, hiring, terminating, reviewing performance and coaching team members.
  • Lead safety excellence and overall compliance in the warehouse.
  • Implement business strategies set forth by senior management and participate in improving the business by administering and evaluating short and long term objectives for the warehouse as well as offering potential alternatives to existing methods.
  • Ensure communication of and compliance with all company human resources and safety policies and procedures
  • Assist Parts Managers with development of warehouse budget and routinely analyze and control expenditures to meet budget.
  • Serve as a primary contact between warehouse operations and other departments/managers within WCAT. Communicate with customers and company employees to resolve customer problems and expedite customer deliveries when necessary.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: May supervise multiple managers who also supervise several other employees in the WCAT Parts Department(s). Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
