About The Position

The Regional Operations Manager will direct all distribution functions including order fulfillment, receiving, inventory control including cycle counting, fleet management, delivery, management and development of KPI’s as well as facility management and maintenance. The Regional Operations Manager will ensure the department meets operations and efficiency plans, embraces and expands a continuous improvement culture and maintains best in class service levels. The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 10 years industrial experience including seven years managerial experience is required.
  • Equivalent education or experience may be substituted for any of the above.

  • Leadership skills to provide overall direction for operations area.
  • Knowledge of process capability study techniques, process qualification, documentation systems, validation, statistical process control, and design of experiments.
  • Financial knowledge and ability to perform and understand analysis of cost computations, cost benefit and buy analysis, justification of capital expenditures, and cost reductions in manufacturing operations.
  • Superior verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to negotiate with and influence team members and peers; ability to participate as a team member on project teams.
  • Ability to successfully manage a multitude of high priority tasks simultaneously and complete on time
  • Thorough knowledge of project management techniques.
  • Knowledge of and ability to implement and maintain total quality management philosophy and techniques.
  • Planning skills to develop and meet long-range operation plans.
  • Human resource management skills to ensure effective recruitment, selection, compensation, appraisal, training and development, coaching, and feedback of staff.
  • Ability to set strategic objectives and accomplish work through collaboration.
  • Adaptability / flexibility / willing to change & adjust with business conditions.
  • Recruit, retain and provide ongoing professional development.
  • Actively participates in coaching process.
  • Provide on-going training and coaching of direct reports and ensure that training and coaching is provided to all staff members.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all departments are staffed appropriately.
  • Ensures department supervisors are managing all deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to meet performance objectives.
  • Oversee process, lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Implement approved process improvements.
  • Promote and Champion best in class operational and service standards.
  • Manage and develop KPI’s.
  • Set goals, monitor/track and document progress.
  • Develop and mentor staff, embracing cross training in all departments
  • Develop medium and long-term operational plans to support service and operational excellence objectives.
  • Set and manage budgets, manage expenses to budget identify cost efficiency opportunities and capture those costs efficiencies
  • Make capital equipment purchase/replacement recommendations based on ROI’s and operational needs.
  • Ensure all facility and equipment preventive maintenance programs are in place and completed
