About The Position

CERTEX USA is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Regional Operations Manager to join our West Region team. This role will lead regional teams, oversee daily operations, and drive business growth. This position is designated as a remote role, with regular travel required to support all of our branches throughout the West Region. Position Overview The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing the performance of multiple lifting and rigging facilities within an assigned region. This role ensures the highest standards of safety, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, facility organization, and on-time order fulfillment while driving consistent execution of company policies and strategic objectives. This position requires the ability to work remotely while maintaining strong communication and operational oversight across multiple locations. Regular travel within the assigned region is required to support facility operations, provide leadership presence, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, preferably in lifting and rigging, industrial services, crane services, or heavy equipment environments .
  • Proven experience leading multi-site operations and directly managing branch or site leaders.
  • Strong working knowledge of rigging equipment, inspections, load handling, and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated success driving KPIs, improving safety performance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong coaching, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with ERP systems, inventory management platforms, and operational analytics.

  • Rigging, crane, or safety-related certifications (e.g., Qualified Rigger, Qualified Inspector, OSHA training).

Responsibilities

  • Champion a safety-first culture across all regional facilities, ensuring safety is never compromised for speed or cost.
  • Partner with Branch Managers to ensure consistent application of safety standards, policies, and procedures at each location.
  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA, ASME, ANSI, DOT, and other applicable regulatory and industry standards related to lifting, rigging, inspection, and material handling.
  • Oversee implementation and enforcement of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), lift plans, inspection protocols, and training programs.
  • Review safety incidents, near misses, and audit findings with Branch Managers; lead root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with Safety and Training teams to continuously improve safety performance and employee competency across all branches.
  • Establish and reinforce regional standards for exceptional customer service, responsiveness, and professionalism .
  • Work with Branch Managers to ensure customer orders, inspections, repairs, and project deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Serve as an escalation point for significant customer issues, supporting Branch Managers in swift resolution and long-term relationship retention.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Account Management to align branch-level operational execution with customer commitments.
  • Drive consistency in customer experience, service quality, and communication across all regional locations.
  • Partner closely with Branch Managers to achieve regional and branch-level KPIs, including safety metrics, on-time delivery, order turnaround time, labor utilization, quality, and cost control.
  • Standardize operating procedures across facilities, ensuring Branch Managers execute consistent workflows for inspections, rentals, repairs, fabrication, inventory control, and documentation.
  • Review operational performance data with Branch Managers on a regular cadence; identify gaps, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, efficiency, and scalability while maintaining safety and quality.
  • Ensure effective and disciplined use of ERP systems, scheduling tools, and inventory management platforms at the branch level.
  • Ensure all facilities are organized, clean, efficient, and audit-ready at all times.
  • Work with Branch Managers to maintain proper storage, tagging, inspection, and traceability of lifting and rigging equipment.
  • Ensure branch compliance with maintenance and calibration schedules for tools, test beds, cranes, forklifts, and inspection equipment.
  • Support facility layout improvements, space utilization optimization, and capital improvement planning in partnership with Branch leadership.
  • Collaborate with Branch Managers to ensure all orders—rentals, sales, inspections, repairs, and custom fabrication—are processed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Monitor order flow from intake through completion, shipping, and invoicing to eliminate delays and rework.
  • Align staffing levels, shift structures, and workload planning with forecasted demand to consistently meet service-level expectations.
  • Drive accountability at the branch level for meeting or exceeding turnaround time and customer delivery commitments.
  • Serve as the primary operational partner and coach for Branch Managers within the region.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, KPIs, and operating targets for each branch, aligned with company objectives.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and structured operating reviews with Branch Managers to track progress against KPIs.
  • Support Branch Managers in identifying operational challenges and implementing corrective action plans.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and data-driven decision-making at the branch level.
  • Work directly with Branch Managers to assess talent, identify high-potential employees, and develop future leaders.
  • Support training and development plans for Branch Managers, Operations Managers, supervisors, and technical personnel.
  • Ensure consistent onboarding, skills training, certification, and cross-training programs across the region.
  • Mentor Branch Managers to strengthen leadership capability, decision-making, and people management skills.
  • Drive retention strategies and support succession planning to ensure long-term regional stability and growth.
  • Partner with Branch Managers to manage branch-level budgets, labor costs, inventory investment, and operating expenses.
  • Review financial performance, forecasts, and variance reports; hold Branch Managers accountable for results.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as market expansion, new service offerings, or operational scaling efforts.
  • Ensure regional operations and branch execution align with overall company strategy and growth objectives.
