Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) is the premier provider of emergency and scheduled ambulance services in Central and Western Illinois, as well as parts of Iowa. AMT is a private, not-for-profit organization operated for community benefit. As a Regional Operations Manager and member of the AMT team, you will play a vital role by providing daily support to customers and caregivers through direct communication. Resolve problems quickly and look for ways to improve services. Coordinate community relations and maintain clear communication across all departments. Coach and support caregivers in a leadership role. Ensure all required narcotics documentation is complete and accurate. Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, delivering advanced life support in accordance with Department of Public Health guidelines and system regulations. What you will do (this list may not include all duties assigned) : Be responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day operations of a high-performance medical transportation company, while engaging in a mobile capacity workforce. Act as "first point of contact" with team caregivers providing direct communications with daily operations objectives and core strategic plan objectives. Employees will be treated equitably and professional. Provides disciplinary actions as required. Actively involved in employment process recommendations that includes: interview/selection and offer of employment, employment transfer, promotion, demotion, discipline, and separation. Participate in AMT's recruitment program to assist in the hiring of quality Field staff for the market area as needed. Authorized to resolve problems and conflicts promptly using sound judgment, practical experience, and effective decision-making skills. Ensures personalized follow-up with customers and caregivers. Actively listens to team members’ input and participates in developing problem solving ideas. Will provide leadership and recognition to our caregivers through coaching and confidence building. Acts as a role-model and understands AMT's mission statement, strategic plan, philosophies, and clinical standards, and carries out those duties throughout the shift. Communicates daily and monthly with caregivers on performance metrics. Responsible for: daily accountability of patient care reports with timely delivery to Peoria Headquarters; daily accountability of all narcotics inventory ensuring proper documentation. Intermediary oversight of Behavioral Health and Med-Valet fleet and staff under direction of the Director of Contract Services. Supervises crews to ensure employees report to work as scheduled and are in compliance with AMT policies and procedures.
