The Serve fleet has been delighting merchants, customers, and pedestrians along the way in Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Atlanta and Chicago while doing commercial deliveries. We’re looking for talented individuals who will grow robotic deliveries from surprising novelty to efficient ubiquity. Serve Robotics is seeking a highly driven and execution-focused Regional Operations Manager, North Region to lead day-to-day operations across our Northern markets. The preferred candidate for this role would be located in the Chicago metro area. In this role, you will manage a team of 5-8 exempt leaders, oversee market performance, operational safety, own the region’s full P&L, and deliver delight to customers who are serviced by our autonomous delivery robots in your region.. Your success will directly impact fleet reliability, customer satisfaction, and bottom-line results. We’re looking for a proven leader with strong operational instincts, a bias for action, and the ability to inspire and develop a front-line team while making data-informed decisions in a high-growth, fast-moving environment. This leader will be pivotal in building and executing the operational processes that disrupt the massive last mile delivery industry.

Requirements

5+ years in field operations, logistics, manufacturing, or related industries with multi-site or team leadership
Experience directly managing multiple facilities and exempt leaders, preferably in 24/7 or shift-based environments
Strong financial acumen with demonstrated P&L responsibility and budget management
Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Comfort with operational tools and dashboards; familiarity with BI platforms, spreadsheets, and scheduling tools
Ability to thrive in ambiguity and scale systems and processes in a fast-evolving operation
Strong analytical skills; proficient in Google Sheets, Jira, and ThoughtSpot (or equivalent BI tools)
Experience designing and improving operational processes using data and stakeholder input
Familiarity with change management and document control practices in operational or technical environments
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed based on operational demands

Nice To Haves

Background in robotics, mobility, last-mile delivery, ecommerce warehousing, or field service operations
Advanced degree in Business, Operations, Analytics, Supply Chain Management or a related field
Continuous improvement and lean six sigma experience in a fast paced start up environment

Responsibilities

Directly manage and coach a team of 5-8 salaried station leaders across multiple sites and regions in a 24/7 environment
Set clear expectations, monitor KPIs, and provide regular feedback to promote accountability, safety, and high performance
Oversee hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and workforce planning to ensure optimal staffing and morale
Foster a culture of teamwork, ownership, and continuous improvement
Lead the successful execution of daily robot operations, including dispatch, maintenance, and field response
Monitor service levels and coordinate cross-functionally to quickly resolve disruptions or escalations
Maintain strict compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
Own all local SOPs and ensure consistent application across your teams
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to the key safety, quality and cost business pillars
Manage the full regional P&L, including labor cost, vendor spend, asset utilization, and site-level efficiencies
Analyze trends, identify operational bottlenecks, and implement cost-effective solutions that scale
Forecast and manage budgets in alignment with company goals
Report on regional performance to leadership, with actionable plans for improvement
