About The Position

Dexis Professional Services (Dexis) is seeking a Regional Multilateral Analyst (Level IV) for an opportunity within the Department of State Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, Office of the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (PM-DDTC). The purpose of this effort is to perform defense-trade registration, compliance, licensing, policy, end-use monitoring, enforcement, and emerging technology tasks related to the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). This full-time position is located in the Washington, D.C. area and is required to be on-site full time, subject to change if requirements shift. This position requires a candidate to hold an active SECRET clearance with Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI eligibility at the request of the COR. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Business Administration or related field.
  • At a minimum, five (5) years of experience in a related career field.
  • Requires at the minimum, a security clearance of Secret with the ability to obtain a Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI at the request of the COR.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects consistent with established timeframes.
  • Excellent ability to synthesize information and develop recommendations for management based on an analysis of the information.
  • Excellent judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
  • Has working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs and be able to operate all office equipment including but not limited to: telephones, copy machines, fax machines, scanners, printers, and computers.
  • May be required to travel domestically and/or internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in planning and implementation of new policies, regulations, and legislation associated with arms transfers, regional security, confidence-building measures and related political-military issues.
  • Independently draft, publish, and implement regulatory changes to the ITAR and independently review regulatory changes made by other agencies that affect the equities of the office.
  • Independently prepare briefing materials for senior Department officials to support meetings with foreign officials, U.S. government counterparts, and representatives of nongovernmental entities, based on specialized experience in this area.
  • Employ mastery of a professional field to apply experimental theories and new developments to problems not susceptible to treatment by accepted methods.
  • Make decisions or recommendations significantly changing, interpreting, or developing important public policies or programs.
  • Isolate and define unknown conditions, resolve critical problems, or develop new theories.
  • Provide products or services that affect the work of other experts, the development of major aspects of administrative or scientific programs or missions, or the well-being of substantial numbers of people.
