About The Position

This position will be based out of Marine Emporium Landing in Oxnard, CA The Regional Manager is not only responsible for all aspects of their home property operations but also provides long and short-term support to marinas within the region. The Regional Manager will be involved with varying operations roles from administration support, training, budgetary support, Sales/Marketing Support to General Managers in their region. They will support the General Managers in improving the marina’s guest services level, performance, efficiency, and profitability. The Regional Manager is responsible for driving results and maximizing the business potential and success of their group of Marinas needs to work collaboratively with the Home Office and General Managers at each property as well as their own property. The Regional Manager also assists in training, coaching, and assisting the General Manager on other functions as well. They are an excellent leader and provides the highest level of customer service in a friendly, helpful manner while accurately responding to the customers’ needs. Projects a professional company image through all types of interaction. As this is a fast-paced environment, must be able to work under pressure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Required
  • 3-5 years of multi-unit management experience, required.
  • 8-14 years supervisory experience, required.
  • Business partner with developed business acumen, strategic mindset with an ability to formulate creative solutions.
  • Detail oriented with excellent time management and follow up skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high level of computer proficiency
  • Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Must be willing to work swing shifts, weekends and holidays as directed by management.
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally.
  • Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to operate general computer equipment including laptop, keyboard, and mouse with ease.
  • Must be able to utilize a phone, both desk and mobile, with ease
  • Must be able to use eyes for the purpose of viewing computer monitors and analyze data for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat)
  • Must be able to climb stairs, both indoors and outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the formulation of financial and business plans/goals and targets to achieve the appropriate Marina financial and guest experience.
  • Achieve revenue plans and margins through the appropriate processes.
  • Establish operating plans, goals, targets and works with the regional support team to execute.
  • Reviews ongoing performance against plan and provide ongoing coaching to support plan achievement.
  • Promote collaboration to identify opportunities, share best practices, and solve problems to achieve each Marina objectives.
  • Provides leadership and direction to all assigned General Managers within a specified region to ensure that all assigned Marinas achieve goals and objectives for gross revenue, gross operating profit, guest satisfaction, and employee engagement.
  • Identify, analyze, and present value-add projects that help grow the marinas’ income.
  • Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the region.
  • Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal government regulations including OSHA, EPA, USACE, DOL, FCC, ABC.
  • Responsible in leading the process of working with appropriate local government authorities to extend ground/land leases to operate the business. As appropriate, lead the process to receive approval from local authorities for value-add projects.
