This position is a Management Services position. The incumbent will work at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority. GRADE CORR 0010 LOCATION OF POSITION Howard County 7275 Waterloo Road, Jessup, MD 20974 POSITION DUTIES Responsible for overall Administration of MCE's Hagerstown Warehouse. Storage of products received from our Production Plants located in State Prisons and deliveries to customer state-wide. The MCE Warehouse/Regional Manager in Hagerstown, MD is responsible for the oversight and delivery functions of the warehouse This position efficiently coordinates and schedules the transfer of finished goods from the MCE Plants within its area of responsibility to the warehouse, combines and stages finished goods for customer orders and ensures on time delivery of all MCE products. The position works in conjunction with the MCE Jessup Warehouse as well as the MCE Projects on a daily basis. Employees in this classification manage the work of the MCE Assistant Warehouse Manager and MCE Warehouse driver/supervisor as well as an inmate warehouse and delivery team. Ability to travel regionally as needed is required for this position as well as proven project management skills, with the ability to lead initiatives according to business needs and strategy.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
  • Four (4) years of experience in warehousing, distribution, cross-dock, supply chain, or related field, two (2) years of this experience must include supervising employees in a Warehouse or Distribution Center setting.
  • Candidates may substitute additional post-secondary education in Business Management, Operations, Supply Chain or related field at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for each year of the required experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience applying basic accounting/bookkeeping principles.
  • Experience coordinating and scheduling multi-faceted project deliveries (including installation)
  • Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Software.
