About The Position

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society mobilizes people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS. To fulfill this mission, the Society funds cutting-edge research, drives change through advocacy, facilitates professional education, collaborates with MS organizations around the world, and provides programs and services designed to help people with MS and their families move their lives forward. We partner with volunteers to accomplish our work. Staff members engage volunteers through effective and timely communications, facilitating meaningful opportunities, and continually seeking and providing feedback for reciprocal growth and learning. Job Summary: The Regional Manager, Peer Connections, manages the regional network of peer support groups, overseeing volunteer onboarding, training, and engagement to ensure inclusive, high-quality experiences. The Manager maintains accurate data across platforms, provides direct support to volunteer leaders, and collaborates with internal teams to connect individuals to appropriate groups. The Manager supports national online groups, monitors program impact, and promotes equity and inclusion. The Manager coordinates communications and represents the Society in community engagement efforts.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Regional Peer Support Group Network: Manage the screening, onboarding, training, and ongoing relationship management of support group leaders across a defined region.
  • Ensure Data Accuracy and Alignment: Maintain up-to-date and accurate support group information in Salesforce and on the Society's website, ensuring consistency across platforms.
  • Provide Direct Support to Volunteer Leaders: Respond to inquiries via the Peer Connections inbox, offering timely guidance, resources, and troubleshooting for support group leaders.
  • Foster Volunteer Engagement and Retention: Build strong relationships with support group leaders, offering recognition, coaching, and opportunities for connection and development.
  • Collaborate Across Regional Teams: Work closely with MS Navigators and other regional staff to ensure individuals are connected to the most appropriate support group based on their needs and preferences.
  • Support National Online Groups: Partner with teammates to provide coordination and support for national online peer support groups, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Monitor Program Quality and Impact: Track participation, engagement, and feedback using Society tools to inform continuous improvement and identify areas for growth.
  • Promote Equity and Inclusion: Ensure support group offerings are inclusive and accessible to diverse communities, including underserved and culturally diverse populations.
  • Coordinate Communication and Resources: Share updates, tools, and best practices with support group leaders and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and support.
  • Represent the Society in the Community: Serve as an ambassador for the Peer Connections program at events and meetings, promoting awareness and engagement.
