About The Position

We are looking for a Regional Maintenance Director (RMD) who will be the on-the-ground execution leader responsible for the day-to-day operational health of plant operations across our communities within a defined geographic territory. You report directly to the Director of Plant Operations and serve as the direct operational link between enterprise standards and community-level execution. This is a field-based, high-accountability role. You are in communities regularly — conducting site visits, supporting on-site Maintenance Directors, solving escalations, and ensuring standards are met on the ground. You don't set the strategy; you execute it with precision. What Makes This Role Distinct: The RMD operates at the regional execution layer. Unlike the Director of Plant Operations — who drives enterprise strategy, capital planning, and team architecture — the RMD is the tactical field leader. Your accountability is: Focus on operational execution, field compliance, and on-site team support Accountability: Community-level outcomes within a defined regional territory Primary Partners: On-site Maintenance Directors, Community Executive Directors, DPO Direct Reports: On-site Maintenance Directors (community level) Travel  Frequent — regular site visits are a core function of this role

  • Experience using TELS, Yardi, or similar CMMS and facilities management platforms
  • Strong communicator who can translate compliance requirements into practical action for on-site teams

  • Utility monitoring and variance tracking at the community level — flag anomalies and support ESG reporting data collection
